Top 5 liberal hate groups

While the Left loves to accuse the Tea Party and Conservatives to be members of hate groups, the simple fact is, there are a lot of liberal hate groups. We could not let 2010 go into the books without presenting our top five liberal hate groups.

5. NAACP. The number five group has to be the NAACP. Earlier this year, the NAACP released a report called Tea Party Nationalism. The report, which was hilariously inaccurate, tried to claim the Tea Party was a racist group. The NAACP, and its members have repeatedly made claims such as calling the Tea Party the 21st Century version of the KKK. Shelia Jackson Lee, who is the NAACP resident hate monger, stated at the NAACP convention, “all of those who wore sheets a long time ago have taken them off and wear Tea Party clothing.” The NAACP has never repudiated her attacks or any of their other silly attacks. To the NAACP, anyone to the right of Karl Marx is a racist. The NAACP is the number five liberal hate group.

4. SEIU. Andrew Stern, the former President of the Service Employees International Union famously said, “We prefer to use the power of persuasion, but if that does not work, we will use the persuasion of power.” SEIU is a group that has not been shy in using violence against companies who refused their efforts to unionize and have not been shy about using violence against Tea Party members. In August 2009, SEIU thugs beat St. Louis Tea Party Member Kenneth Gladney. In March 2010, a major Tea Party event occurred in Searchlight Nevada. SEIU thugs came in and tried to cause violence against Americans exercising their First Amendment rights. The SEIU is Number 4 on our liberal hate group list.

3. ACLU. The ACLU can be called a hate group with a law license. A lot of law licenses. If you hate America, the ACLU loves you and if you love America, the ACLU hates you. They have sued to eliminate any reference to the Christian religion by schools or the government. They have no problem with Islamists. They have provided representation to terrorists at GITMO. Their litigation strategy has been to reveal as many American secrets as possible. ACLU chapters across the country have sent out letters to school boards this holiday season telling them what they can and cannot do in regard to school Christmas celebrations (who elected the ACLU?). And of course the ACLU is famous for its litigation. It has either sued and been awarded attorney’s fees or extorted settlements from small cities, counties and school boards afraid of being bankrupted by their obscene fees. The ACLU is the number three liberal hate group.

2. The Department of Homeland Security. DHS has become something of a joke. A bad joke. DHS will not enforce border security. It makes Americans go through a joke of a security system when they want to fly. It invades their privacy while not going after terrorists. And then of course, there is the infamous report where DHS ignored pressing issues like illegal immigration and Islamic terror to put out a report warning about terror from “right wing extremists.” The DHS Clown in Chief, Janet Napolitano borrowed a page from the Clinton administration to try and demonize conservatives with this idiotic report. The report was of course denounced by all concerned, but has never been repudiated. As late as September of this year, Tea Party activists were added to the Homeland Security list of terror threats. All of this is silly political posturing from the most corrupt regime in the history of this country. And for that, the Department of Homeland Security is our number two liberal hate group.

1. SPLC. Of course, we could not complete this list without the Southern Poverty Law Center. This group has made a cottage industry labeling any group to the right of Karl Marx a hate group. Since the start of the Tea Party movement almost two years ago, the SPLC, or as it is more accurately called, the Church of Morris Dees. Morris Dees is the founder of the SPLC. He has made a name for himself for calling out Klansmen and skinheads, but then turns around and lumps anyone who disagrees with his far left agenda in the same groupings at the Klan or neo-Nazis. Earlier this year, the SPLC released a report claiming “right wing extremists” were on the rise. Their definition of right wing extremists was anyone who was concerned about the economy, out of control spending, illegal immigration or the insane rise of liberal nut groups as someone akin to the Branch Dividians. More recently, the SPLC smeared as hate groups, respectable groups such as the Family Research Center, American Family Association, Concerned Women for America, Liberty Counsel and others as hate groups for opposing repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and Homosexual Marriage. That makes the SPLC our number one liberal hate group.

By Terence P. Jeffrey

( - The federal government has accumulated more new debt--$3.22 trillion ($3,220,103,625,307.29)—during the tenure of the 111th Congress than it did during the first 100 Congresses combined, according to official debt figures published by the U.S. Treasury.

That equals $10,429.64 in new debt for each and every one of the 308,745,538 people counted in the United States by the 2010 Census.

Austin Woman Thrown to Floor, Arrested for Refusing Pat Down at Airport

Jim Bergamo
December 23, 2020

Early Wednesday morning, a computer glitch shut down a security checkpoint for a couple of hours at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The line snaked out the door as many travelers waited for more than an hour and some missed their flights. One of the first people in line after that shutdown never made it through. She was arrested and banned from the airport.

Claire Hirschkind, 56, who says she is a rape victim and who has a pacemaker-type device implanted in her chest, says her constitutional rights were violated. She says she never broke any laws. But the Transportation Security Administration disagrees.

Obama and Islam

Posted by Robert Spencer and David Horowitz on Dec 24th, 2010 and filed under FrontPage.

No president in American history has taken a more admiring view of Islam than Barack Obama. Whether it is his repeated insistence that the attacks on Americans and the war that has been declared against the West have nothing do with Islam, or his flattering (and false) description of Islam as a religion “that teaches peace, justice, fairness and tolerance,” or his unprecedented revelation that he considers it “part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear,” Obama in his first two years of office has spurned no opportunity to speak well of the religion.

Considering the long history of Islamic extremism, the militancy of Islamic religious texts, and the justification that such texts provide for modern jihadist movements, the president’s fawning rhetoric may be confused for mere ignorance. But as David Horowitz and Robert Spencer forcefully argue in their new pamphlet, “Obama and Islam,” Obama’s Islamophilic outreach represents something far more disturbing than naïveté: a conscious effort to appease Islamic supremacism in Iran and elsewhere in the Middle East, and an energetic willingness to pander to the Islamic world in general. The consequence, the authors show, is a dangerously ill-conceived foreign policy that has betrayed American values, undermined the national interest, abandoned staunch allies like Israel, and forsaken Muslims who are condemned to suffer under brutal Islamic regimes. Cheap flattery has rarely exacted such a high cost.

If not now, when?

Last week, United States Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. He was murdered in the line of duty. He was trailing bandits in the lawless desert area of Arizona. That particular area is lawless because our Federal government will not protect the border or enforce our laws.

Agent Terry was taken back to Detroit to be laid to rest. In what can only be described as a brazen act of Chutzpah, Homeland Security Clown in Chief Janet Napolitano attended the funeral and met with the family.

Under ordinary circumstances, that would be the decent thing to do. Our circumstances are not ordinary.

Agent Terry’s father, Kent Terry told Napolitano to “wake your man up in the White House.” To which Napolitano is reported to have said, he has done more in two years than any other president. I really doubt anyone would have faulted the man for decking her right then and there.

The Terry family has justifiably complained that the government has done nothing to secure the border and by extension, Brian Terry’s death was not only needless but avoidable. They are right.

The media accosted the Clown of Homeland Security after the funeral and asked her about the Terry family’s anger over this. Napolitano said, this isn’t the time to talk about this issue.

If not now, when?

The answer is, the time is never. The Obama regime does not want to talk about this issue. They do not want to talk about the fact they refuse to secure the border. They do not want to talk about the fact they do not enforce our immigration laws. They do not want to talk about the fact they want to grant amnesty to twenty or thirty million illegal aliens, despite the fact Americans overwhelmingly object to this.

This regime does not care about what the American people want.

Hillary attends 'North American Union' meeting Trilateral process with Mexico, Canada proceeds with little notice

WASHINGTON - JULY 16: U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton holds a news conference with Mexican Foreign Secretary Patricia Espinosa at the State Department on July 16, 2009 in Washington, DC. The news conference also attended by and Canadian Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon followed a preparatory meeting for the North American Leaders Summit scheduled for August in Guadalajara, Mexico.

With little attention from mainstream media, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met with the foreign ministers of Canada and Mexico in a North American Foreign Ministers Meeting in Quebec, Canada.

The Dec. 13 meeting is a prelude to the next North American Summit Leaders meeting in 2011, a yet unscheduled trilateral summit that is the continuation of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America. Under the low-key format, the continental meetings have been carried out with little fanfare and outside of congressional oversight.

The Canadian government website detailed that the Quebec meeting identified as important areas of trilateral cooperation" the following:

* Engagement with the countries of Central America, with a view to creating a North America-Central America dialogue to strengthen regional cooperation and efforts against trans-national criminal organizations;

* Trilateral cooperation on natural disaster reduction, prevention/mitigation, preparedness and response in the Americas;

* A commitment to Haiti, specifically, that it remains a mutual priority and the subject of continued monitoring, including on the political transition and related democratic process.

Also mentioned on the website of the Canadian government was "the importance of an integrated North American approach to climate change, clean energy, and environmental issues writ large," as well as trilateral cooperation cybersecurity, Internet freedom and privacy.

Finally, the Canadian government noted that trilateral public health and safety officials had worked to revise the North American Plan for Avian and Pandemic Influenza, although changes to the agreement were not specified.

WND previously reported that the United States, under SPP, had agreed with Mexico and Canada to a "North American Plan for Avian Flu and Pandemic Influenza" that establishes U.N. law along with regulations by the World Trade Organization and World Health Organization as supreme over U.S. law during a pandemic. The agreement sets the stage for militarizing the management of continental health emergencies.

Published on the U.S. Department of State website, the comments of Mexican Foreign Secretary Patricia Espinosa made clear the Quebec North American Foreign Ministers meeting covered a wide range of policy areas, including "a relevant agenda with regard to the environment, energy, and in creating a common basis to fight climate change among our countries."

Espinosa also stressed "the importance of strengthening North America's competitiveness to consolidate our economic recovery," echoing the competitiveness theme of the "Prosperity Agenda" under SPP.

According to the State Department website, Clinton stated, "I want to say first and foremost that the partnership between Canada, Mexico, and the United States is of critical importance."

Clinton said the U.S., Canada and Mexico work together every day, "whether it is to drive economic progress, or strengthen our security, or address urgent problems such as climate change or violent extremism in places like Afghanistan, or narco-traffickers or pandemic disease," producing a profound impact on every level, "locally, regionally and globally."

Building on the theme of "North American citizens," Clinton stressed, "No partnership means more to the United States and to the hundreds of millions of North American citizens whose lives and futures are increasingly intertwined."

In a report on the Quebec meeting, the Boston Globe made clear that diplomats in attendance were not authorized to speak publicly about the talks.

The trilateral communiqués coming from the North American Foreign Ministers suggested there would be another North American Leaders Summit in 2011, although no specific location or date appeared to have been set for the meeting.

'Christmas is evil': Muslim group launches poster campaign against festive period

By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 10:43 AM on 23rd December 2010

In England, fanatics from a banned Islamic hate group have launched a nationwide poster campaign denouncing Christmas as evil.

Organizers plan to put up thousands of placards around the UK claiming the season of goodwill is responsible for rape, teenage pregnancies, abortion, promiscuity, crime and pedophilia.

They hope the campaign will help 'destroy Christmas' in this country and lead to Britons converting to Islam instead.

Labour MP and anti racist campaigner Jim Fitzpatrick branded the posters 'extremely offensive' and demanded they were immediately ripped down.

The placards, which have already appeared in parts of London, feature an apparently festive scene with an image of the Star of Bethlehem over a Christmas tree.

But under a banner announcing 'the evils of Christmas' it features a message mocking the song the 12 Days of Christmas.

It reads: 'On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me an STD (sexually transmitted disease).

Trusted Traveler Program Lets Mexicans Skip American Airport Security

As violent drug cartels take over Mexico and expand their criminal enterprises north, the United States has signed a “trusted traveler” agreement that allows pre-screened Mexican airline passengers to bypass lengthy airport security checkpoints.

The foreigners will get “trusted traveler cards” with fingerprints and other biometric data and they must answer customs declarations questions on touch-screen kiosks before leaving airport inspection areas. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano claims it’s a way to enhance information sharing and mutual security in the face of “ever-evolving, multinational threats.”

About 84 million Mexicans are expected to qualify for the trusted traveler program, according to Mexico’s Interior Ministry Secretary, who signed the agreement on behalf of his country this week. Celebrating the festive occasion, the Mexican government official assured that the new accord will facilitate the U.S. entry of business travelers and tourists who are key factors in economic development, growth of trade and cultural exchange.

Mexicans will get the perk through the U.S. government’s Global Entry Program, which allows participants to obtain security clearance by presenting a “machine-readable” passport or resident card at airport “Global Entry kiosks.” The machines issue the foreign travelers a transaction receipt and directions to baggage claim and the exit into the United States. Applying is easy. Candidates fill out an online application, provide valid identification and answer a few questions from a Customs and Border Protection officer.

While Napolitano was in Mexico finalizing the trusted traveler agreement this week, she also took the opportunity to sign a “letter of intent” to develop a plan for protecting immigrants from criminal attacks as they cross the border—illegally—into the U.S. Mexican officials have long complained that American law enforcement officers stand by as illegal immigrants are robbed, killed or violently beaten. Napolitano has committed to reducing the risk to life and security of migrants, according to the Mexican minister.

Feds Force Okla. Bank To Remove Crosses, Bible Verse

Federal Examiners Say Religious Decoration Inappropriate

PERKINS, Okla. -- A small-town bank in Oklahoma said the Federal Reserve won’t let it keep religious signs and symbols on display.

Federal Reserve examiners come every four years to make sure banks are complying with a long list of regulations. The examiners came to Perkins last week. And the team from Kansas City deemed a Bible verse of the day, crosses on the teller’s counter and buttons that say "Merry Christmas, God With Us." were inappropriate. The Bible verse of the day on the bank's Internet site also had to be taken down.

“I don’t think there should be a problem with them displaying whatever religious symbols they want to display,” said Amy Weierman, a Perkins resident.

Specifically, the feds believed, the symbols violated the discouragement clause of Regulation B of the bank regulations. According to the clause, "...the use of words, symbols, models and other forms of communication ... express, imply or suggest a discriminatory preference or policy of exclusion."

The feds interpret that to mean, for example, a Jew or Muslim or atheist may be offended and believe they may be discriminated against at this bank. It is an appearance of discrimination.

But customers Eyewitness News 5 talked to said they aren’t buying it.

“This is just ridiculous,” said bank customer Jim Nyles. “This whole thing is just ridiculous. We all have regulatory bodies that govern us. But this is too much.”

“I think that’s absurd,” said Chelsi Holser, a bank customer. “I don’t agree with it at all. They are taking Christ out of Christmas and life.”

The bank is quietly fighting for a clearer interpretation of the clause. Officials have contacted their two U.S. legislators, Rep. Frank Lucas and Sen. Jim Inhofe, and the Oklahoma Bankers Association to help.

What is going on?

Recent news reporting services and bloggers have reported news that makes one wonder "What is going on?". Let me cite some examples and you, dear reader, can check for yourself and draw conclusions. Here are some of the many reports to be considered by an inquiring mind:

The US Federal government is contingency planning for an economic collapse. The US Army has been studying the stock market with J P Morgan and others. They are studying the implications of economic warfare in their year long war games series, Unified Quest 2011 .

A phone interview with Sharon Bylier of The Dept of Homeland Security, revealed that H.S. is stepping up regionalizing disaster supplies. Simply put, they are taking emergency items that are currently centralized in Washington, D.C., and distributing them nationally. Sort of like a mobilization of suppies. Their plan is to complete the supply of fifteen H.S. warehouses around the country in the next three months. Ms. Bylier is quoted as saying “we have worked hard the last six months to meet our local objectives.” She continued “the goals of Homeland Security are in sight.” It’s difficult to know if this is a good or bad omen. No comment was offered as to why this program has been given so much urgency at this time. It’s nice to know we’re ready. But ready for What?

Source: Independence News

Though the activities of global governments in recent years could potentially be chalked up to standard national security preparedness and contingency planning, the most alarming indicator that the U.S. government is not just looking at one-in-a-million possibilities in terms of economic collapse is the training of several thousand U.S. Army soldiers to respond to domestic policing and enforcement issues that may include evacuation, detainment and riot response. The real possibility of the need to deploy U.S. military under martial law exists, and the U.S. government is spending millions of dollars training and equipping soldiers to do so if necessary.

Nitro-Pak, a preparedness web site and large distributor of Mountain House Freeze Dried Foods, has alerted customers that emergency food demand is so high, their processing time for new orders is approaching one month, citing inflation fears as the main culprit. “Orders with #10 can foods or food reserve units are processing in about 28 business days due to the extremely high demand that has been caused by our nation’s current political & economic uncertainty as well as high inflation fears. We anticipate prices will soon rise as are all food prices worldwide,” reads a shipping update memo on the web site.

Even the Russians and the EU are in high gear. Russia has reportedly begun planning and development of 5,000 new underground bunkers for the city of Moscow scheduled for completion no later than 2012. The EU, in 2006, commissioned the building of a “Doomsday Seed Vault” in a mountainside several hundred feet above sea level. The facility was built and fully stocked with millions of seeds from around the world within 18 months.

In Food and Water in an Emergency, FEMA makes it clear that they may not be able to provide assistance. “If an earthquake, hurricane, winter storm, or other disaster strikes your community, you might not have access to food, water, and electricity for days or even weeks,” warns the report.

The US government is preparing for large scale disasters. Are you?

NH Democratic Party accused of ‘religious intolerance’

By Patrick Hynes

December 16, 2010

The head of a pro-family political group in New Hampshire accused the New Hampshire Democratic Party of “religious intolerance” on Thursday for criticizing a Christian state legislator for conducting what it called “a religious tirade” as a Christian gathering in September.

Democratic spokeswoman Harrell Kirstien accused Republican State Rep. David Bates of attempting to impose a “Bible belt social agenda” after video surfaced of Bates saying “the only hope for America” is to “turn from our wicked ways and ask god to heal our land” and “the problem we have here in this country and in all of our states is that we no longer fear god” at New England Solemn Assembly in Plymouth Massachusetts.

Now Kevin Smith, head of Cornerstone Policy Research, is calling on the Democratic Party to apologize for the attack.

“The NHDP’s mischaracterization of Representative Bates’ faith are not only rooted in religious bigotry, but represents the height of hypocrisy for a party that supposedly prides itself in being tolerant of other’s beliefs,” Smith said. “ The NHDP owes Rep. Bates and the hundreds of thousands of Christians in this state an apology for his truly offensive and ignorant remarks.”

“No elected official, whether Republican or Democrat, should have to endure such bigoted remarks from a political party simply because they express their religious faith in a public forum,” continued Smith. “Mr. Kirstein ought to re-read the first amendment to the US Constitution and realize all people are guaranteed the freedom of religion, whether he agrees with their beliefs or not.”

Another massacre from the "Religion of Peace"

Where's the outrage from Muslim leaders? From our "leaders"?

Christians in Nigeria say their government isn't doing enough to protect them from militant Muslims. Thousands of Christians have been killed in recent attacks -- especially in northern and central Nigeria.

Several human rights groups have called on America and the United Nations to intervene.

One of the worst attacks in recent years occurred March 7. Unlike many previous raids on Christian villages, militant Muslims attacked the village of Dogo Nashawa late at night, instead of during the day.

"When you attack people who are sleeping, innocent people who are unprepared, that's a massacre," said Emmanuel Ogebe of Advocates International.

Many villagers were hacked to death or burned alive in their houses and children as young as five years of age were among the 500 Christians that were murdered.

Venezuelan Missile Crisis - How Will Obama React?

When the Soviets put missiles into Cuba, President Kennedy forced them to back off.

Now the Iranians are putting missiles into Venezuela....

From the Hudson New York

Iran is planning to place medium-range missiles on Venezuelan soil, based on western information sources, according to an article in the German daily, Die Welt, of November 25, 2010. According to the article, an agreement between the two countries was signed during the last visit o Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to Tehran on October19, 2010. The previously undisclosed contract provides for the establishment of a jointly operated military base in Venezuela, and the joint development of ground-to-ground missiles.

At a moment when NATO members found an agreement, in the recent Lisbon summit (19-20 November 2010), to develop a Missile Defence capability to protect NATO's populations and territories in Europe against ballistic missile attacks from the East (namely, Iran), Iran's counter-move consists in establishing a strategic base in the South American continent - in the United States's soft underbelly.

According to Die Welt, Venezuela has agreed to allow Iran to establish a military base manned by Iranian missile officers, soldiers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Venezuelan missile officers. In addition, Iran has given permission for the missiles to be used in case of an "emergency". In return, the agreement states that Venezuela can use these facilities for "national needs" – radically increasing the threat to neighbors like Colombia. The German daily claims that according to the agreement, Iranian Shahab 3 (range 1300-1500 km), Scud-B (285-330 km) and Scud-C (300, 500 and 700 km) will be deployed in the proposed base. It says that Iran also pledged to help Venezuela in rocket technology expertise, including intensive training of officers

What will President Obama do about new this threat to U.S. security?

1. Stare down the Iranians?
2. Stop buying Venezuelan oil and open up all known U.S. reserves to exploitation?
3. Pressure the Senate to pass the New START Disarmament Treaty with Iran and Venezuela's Russian allies?
4. Play basketball?
5. Play golf?

What do you think?

Obama's rotten apples

Greg Galluzzo & Mary Gonzales

Obama counts this married couple among his mentors. They were also bankrolled by Ken Rolling’s Left-leaning foundations, and Galluzzo and his wife play a big role in organizations that have adopted the stealth strategy of taking over from the bottom up (at one conference the couple headlined a panel called “Organizing through Existing Institutions”).

Galluzzo and Gonzales are community organizers in the tradition of Saul Alinsky, according to Kurtz, who notes that they tend to keep their political beliefs to themselves in order to advance their cause:

“They make a point of presenting themselves as pragmatists in search of ‘commonsense solutions for working families.’ Organizers trained by Obama’s mentor Greg Galluzzo have perfected this stance—consciously suppressing radical jargon (which they freely use among themselves), clothing their leftist programs in the language of traditional American democracy, and making sure to present themselves in both dress and demeanor as average citizens, rather than as the sixties-style radicals many of them once were… Alinskyites work to steer popular dissatisfactions in the direction of their leftist goals.”

One of their nasty tactics is to “pick a target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it” as they’ve shown over and over again. Galluzzo was involved in several ugly situations including pressuring a Chicago school board member to support the building of a new school by besieging him at home, as Kurtz details in his book.

Galluzzo is now head of the Gamaliel Foundation, which Kurtz describes as an “influential network of neighborhood organizations to which Obama has long been tied.”

It’s a group that purports to mix “faith and democracy,” but their faith seems a bit misplaced:

And listen to what a former Gamaliel organizer has to say:

“Staff were pitted against each other by Galluzzo and Gonzalez… Galluzzo used to give a cultish advanced training seminar titled ‘Walking the Edge of Immorality’ where he repeatedly stated ‘the ends justifies the means’ and nonchalantly told us that to have an impact on society we had to be willing to ‘lie, cheat, and steal for the greater good’… The final straw for me was when Galluzzo sent out a weekly report with a reflection that we organizers needed to promote a noble myth to our churches that our work was about justice, God, and peace even though we really knew it was about power… I left Gamaliel disillusioned and disgusted by what seemed to me to be pure evil… I should have exposed them then. I had a duty to do so. We can’t content ourselves with feelings of moral superiority while people with corrupt principles are out there building power. We ignore these bad apples to our own peril.”

According to his own people, Galluzzo is a bad apple – and he’s one of Obama’s prized mentors.

Breitbart TV Shock Discovery Community Organizers Pray TO President Elec...

Obama and Alice Palmer

Palmer was Ken Rolling’s partner at Citizen Action, also had ties to the Midwest Academy, and became a state senator in Illinois. Ah, but not just ANY state senator. The state senator who handpicked Obama to be her successor. Why is this relevant?

Because, as Kurtz reveals, Palmer “was a hard Marxist”:

“…for several years, Palmer edited an opinion magazine called New Deliberations that was obviously socialist in character (sample article title: Socialism Is the Only Way Forward). Obama critic David Freddoso has already reported Palmer’s attendance in 1986 at the Twenty-seventh Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, followed by her praise of the USSR and criticism of the United States in the Communist People’s Daily World. Palmer’s papers are filled with similar material—an engraved invitation to the first anniversary celebration of the Marxist revolution in Grenada, for example. It is, of course, both disturbing and revealing that Palmer had originally hand-picked Obama as her successor after lengthy consultations with the future president.”

Disturbing, to say the least. And you know where she announced Obama as her hand-picked successor? At that much downplayed (by Team Obama) meeting at the home of Bill Ayers and his fellow terrorist Bernardine Dohrn.

What if, back in the summer of ’08, Newsgirl Couric, for example, had taken it into her empty little head to do a little digging on THIS issue rather than snarking about what magazines Sarah Palin was reading? Certainly would have been nice to have someone connect the dots between a Soviet-loving Communist and our Democratic candidate, no?

Obama and Ken Rolling

Rolling’s a hard-lefty with religious credentials – a master’s degree in theology. As Kurtz points out, American socialism today relies heavily the Catholic Left, in particular, and Rolling has close ties to that movement. He also has multiple ties to Obama through foundations where they worked together (along with Bill Ayers), and worked with our president in his younger days on so-called school reform, which as Kurtz meticulously details, is really just another Leftist code phrase for taking control of institutions from the grassroots level up. (Plus side: They did want to take school control away from teacher unions. Minus side: They wanted to give control to “community” groups like ACORN!) What’s more, as an administrator for the “we never heard of it before but certainly should have” socialist Midwest Academy, he was able to funnel a great deal of money to Obama’s “community organizing” causes, including “school reform.”

As Kurtz reports, the socialist sympathies of this longtime ally of Obama are crystal clear. Representing the Midwest Academy and a related group called Citizen Action, Rolling visited Nicaragua in the eighties to support the Marxist Sandinista regime, which his organization idealized as “neighborhood democracy” in action – and invited Sandinista leader Milagros Leyton to speak to his groups in the United States in 1985. Rolling even put Leyton up in his own home. Bear in mind, history has proven that this bunch was both brutal and bloodthirsty, as even the New York Times was forced to admit some years later.

Rolling has one more big claim to fame, far more recently. Back in the summer of 2008, when author Kurtz was already trying to do the job of the MSM, he attempted to examine records from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, another Left-leaning foundation headed by Obama and Ayers. Kurtz was repeatedly assured by officials at the University of Illinois Chicago Library, where the records were housed, that he would be allowed access. However, just before he boarded a flight to Chicago, top library officials intervened to bar his access. Kurtz was forced to undertake another investigation, simply to uncover what had happened to make them change their minds. Using, among other things, Freedom of Information Act requests, he was able to piece together the story, and Ken Rolling was at the center of it. Rolling apparently chose the day Kurtz was going to arrive to begin a series of legal claims to withdraw the records from university control.

A coincidence? I think not.
